Question

what exactly is going on w/ my five letter ? i just picked it up from Maztech in tampa today and when i stopped and idled for maybe 10-15 minutes i got out of the car to notice coolant all over the ground (passenger side) i turn off the car (temp gauge=HOT) leave the fans running (they were on when this happened wtf ?!) and pop the hood when i lift it up the cap pops off the overflow tank and the coolant starts gushing out of the overflow tank straight up in the air like 4-5 ft after it is done spraying that **** everywhere (including in my carb) the hose is shooting out white smoke (smells like a normal overheat) for like 30 mins. The radiator looks fine i put water in rad. and overflow tank just to make it home and on the way home i have to stop again b/c the damn thing is running hot! it didnt even do this b4 i took it to Maztech ... what the hell is going on ?? thanks for ur help

if anything is visibly wrong (besides non-cooling issues - i know half everything under that hood is ghetto-rigged - i just want it to work) please let me know, or if you think you might have a suggestion involving something not visibly obvious it would be much appreciated - once again thanks alot

someone correct me if there is another way... but to my knowledge the only way to tell if it's a factory mazda thermostat is that it will have a small hole in the surface which is a bypass, bleed through...

and the cap i think should be around 9-12... can't remember for sure i'll check and let you know

Did you say the radiator cap popped off or the overflow bottle cap popped off?
