It's no boosted vert but we will have fun with the buildup https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif Still have to go pick it up. I will post some more pics when we get it in the shop. We also have a pool going on whether or not it will make it to deals gap in '07. The winner gets a cookie.

Billy,

Really cool looking 1st gen! And I'm sure that I'll be in contact with you for a few things concerning that boosted vert you mentioned. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif I'm going to need some parts and I plan on getting them from you. Just thought I'd give you a heads up.

Deals Gap should be fun this year

Are those stock rims on a widebody? Or am I seeing things again? I like the widebody better. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif

Yea, stock wheels on it at the moment. They will not be for long though https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif I have picked the wheels out. From my calcs they will have 3" lips in the front and 4" lips in the rear. Old School!

Billy, thanks for the compliments. I'm really happy with my find.

Those rims are sick!! Who makes them?

I've always wondered what you guys running those wheels do about bearing stress and scrub radius and other niggly things? Just put up with it?

Scrub Radius can be changed if need be. It would take some work.

Cut the strut tube from the cast spindle. Bore a hole in the cast spindle for a replacement strut tube changing the angle of the hole. The angle change is to add to the "steering axis inclination". This will mean the strut top will need to be moved inboard (As if adding negative camber) to bring the camber setting to where they used to be. Now your imaginary point at road level drawn through the steering axis inclination will be further outboard. Bringing it closer to the centerline of the new wheels...............Or you can just live with it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif
