I have a 1985 RX-7 GS. I just tried to start my car but its not starting. Whats happening is its clicking for a moment then it buzzes at me. I'm not sure whats wrong. I was thinking it might be the starter but I'm not sure. Want to see what people think. I have the battery charging right now but it seemed like it had a full charge. Anyways could use some help here.

To me it sounds like a dead battery. How often do you drive it and when did you drive it last? How old is the battery?

If the battery is old enough, it can suddenly just not have enough juice to start the car. My wife's Audi was like that. Bought it new, drove it daily. One morning, it turned over just a tad slower than usual. When she went to start it at lunchtime, it couldn't start the car.

Try getting a jump start. If that works, then a new battery should do the trick.

You might also want to check the output on your alternator.

I had this problem in my FC. I hit the starter with a hammer (light to moderate tap, more like). Cranked right up after that! Replaced the starter soon after.
