haha, no problem.... pipe thread is pretty forgiving. But I suppose it's going to be a bitch because you have to take off the piece that you have to drill and tap I guess... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/blackeye.gif

thats why I'm thinking of using the ACV Block off.Just unbolt it and drill it.Plus it looks like the best direct path into the engine from what I can see. That and the spray will enter both housings at the same time.

Sounds good to me https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I'm thinking its the best bet. Then it'll inject in all the spots at once.Plus it'll look cool hanging off the side of the engine.Just need to finish working out the details with the guy I'm buying it from.He should be sending it out this weekend.

Doesn't ACV stand for Air Control Valve? which is a way to pump

air through different places with one source. (Me heap big somg

dude https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR ) if I read the operation of the valve correctly, and I

could be wrong, you would just be dumping it into the exhaust.

j9fd3s has the better idea with the injectors. NOS has

developed some spray nozzles (they call them Nossles) that

fit between the stock injectors and the intake manifold :bigok: .

call me sacreligious, but I do own a 1991 integra as well

so far the rx and the 'teg are about equal. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

but going around corners is a lot more fun when you are

sideways!!

Yes it does stand for air control valve. But mine is blocked off and that line to the exhaust is capped off to so theres nowhere for it to go. :bigthumg:

FC_RX7 01-23-2003 03:23 PM

how would the rx respond to the nos setup?

DJ Rotor 01-23-2003 04:08 PM

Probably crack the welds on the intake and blow out the floorboards https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Don't get me wrong, I understand that you blocked the area off.

But, you are blocking off the area to prevent an exhaust leak. Right?

when I took mine off to inspect it (12A), it had the inlet hose (from pump), outlet

hoses (to air cleaner and catalytic converters) and two check valves (one for each

exhaust port).

please test the area beneath the blockoff plate by removing it and starting the engine.

if it goes to intake, it won't start (BIG vacuum leak).

if it goes to exhaust, it'll run fine. (but will be LOUD!!) :bigok:

if vac leak, drill away :bigthumg:

let us know.

The stock hard line to the exhaust from the lower manifold has been pulled and capped off at manifold and the ACV has beend blocked off and the plated was sealed tight. No leaks here. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png It should work there isn't any techincal reason why it shouldn't.The car ran awesome all year like that with no problems.I just want to know if it would work good for a nos system to spray into the lower manifold like that.

But thats after I get two of the big ones. Then'll I'll have enough NOS to blow myself up. :squint:

Smog Fighter 01-23-2003 09:59 PM

I would hate for you waste precious NO2 by sending it to the exhust side of your

intake manifold. but then you have a 13B and I have a 12A... I could be wrong. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif
