I'm getting a NOS kit here in the next 2 weeks and the guy I'm getting it thru says I can run it direct port with my carb setup.Is it possible to use it so the nitrous sprays thru the ACV block off plate if I drill and tap it?Thats the only way I can see it being a direct port setup.Then it would distribute NOS thru the entire lower intake manifold with the fuel mixture on its way into the engine.Any ideas.I need to pound some hondas this summer real good too.Cocky "H' lovers. :rant:

 

If it helps I plan on running a 35 shot till I get a spare engine.Then I goto a 50 shot. :twisted: Teach the those "B series" boys a rotor shape can of whoop ***. :twisted:

I don't think the sprayer would fit in there properly.Thats why I figure thru the ACV block off plate.Just drill and tap it when the kit shows up.Would it work good in the LIM?

 

Doesn't ACV stand for Air Control Valve? which is a way to pump

air through different places with one source. (Me heap big somg

dude ) if I read the operation of the valve correctly, and I

could be wrong, you would just be dumping it into the exhaust.



j9fd3s has the better idea with the injectors. NOS has

developed some spray nozzles (they call them Nossles) that

fit between the stock injectors and the intake manifold :bigok: .

But anyways, what if you put them where the OMP nozzles go on the rotor housing? Or would you need more time for the NOS and the fuel to intermix before it hit the sparkplugs?

 

I was thinking about that too.But I don't want to pull the intakes apart again.Or I would just talk to NOS about finding another injector of the same style and drill the two intake runners on the Upper Intake and run the NOS right after the carb.I was thinking seeing as I pulled the ACV anyways why not mount it there seeing as the runner all join in lower manifold anyways.I'm just wondering if it is a good idea or not to mount the NOS injector on the block off plate.I could always fab up a intake system and run dry style thru it but I want a more direct route for it.Those nitrous injectors require more fuel lines to be run and for a small shot its not really worth it.If I was going with a 100hp shot then I would take that into consideration.I can't wait to see the flame on film racing at the track this year. :twisted:

 

Yeah I suppose if you don't want to take the intake off your kind of limited to where you can stick the nozzels. Do they just have a 1/8 pipe thread on them or something?

 

Yeah, If I can remember correctly its a simple pipe thread.Thats why drilling and taping will be fun no matter where the damn thing goes.

 

haha, no problem.... pipe thread is pretty forgiving. But I suppose it's going to be a bitch because you have to take off the piece that you have to drill and tap I guess...
