Ok, I'm new to the whole rotary things but, here it goes... I bought my 84 rx7 gsl in september and it didnt run... Go figure, but I had some time to kill, so i started researching and found that i could install a Weber 48IDA downdraft carb. I ended up doing that instead of buying a stock carb. Finally it started to work and I moved back to Vancouver, WA! 2 weeks later I'm having problems left and right! It runs... Whenever it feels like it! It drains my battery like no other and only starts up when it's warm outside. I have replaced the old carb with the IDA, new altenator, battery, battery cabels and im ready to buy a new starter if worse comes to worse. I don't know if it's the selinoid on the starter or what? If anyone can help me that would be much appreciated. Its currently 18 degrees and I am having to walk to work... Not to fun...

You hooked up the mechanical choke correctly to the new carb right?
