Okay a friend of mine came to me and asked if i can help him do a turbo 2 swap to his 85 RX7.

Well after saying that i realized - i dont know **** about rotary motors(i have always built SBCs, VR6s & 16Vs VWs).

So far my first questions are - what should i be looking for to make a swap complete (would like links so you dont have to type a whole lot).

What needs to be upgraded to make the turbo 2 motor make aprox 350-400whp? Tranny? What rear end should i use - will a ford 9" work?

thanks for the help

if you're going for 350+hp you may have to to the austrailian thing and swap in a gm or ford rear end.

I've got a ford 9in on the back of mine and i've only got 310rwhp. It's a bit heavy but atleast I know I won't break it, and one thing I learnt was to make sure that the unit is aligned properly or you'll break yokes.

I wen't through 6 of them.
