My inherited ride
Ok here is the run down, ever since i can remember my uncle (who was like a father to me) had this rx7 and kept it in tip top shape well, he passed from melanoma almost a year ago but before he died he did all this stuff to it he had always wanted to do, knowing that he would pass it along to me. Well i got deployed and now i am back and i finally was able to pick it up. I am into the european car side of the house but, i have to say i've always loved this car. It is an honor to have one in such prestine condition and be a gsl-se to boot. It has 215k on the chassis and around 70k on the motor (oil drain plug fell out he replaced it with one he had shipped from japan) Well i will frequent this site alot more now that i am back and i am very excited to get this thing rolling. It needs a paint and the plastic parts reprayed black.

thanks for the reply guys, i am glad you like it, he did take care of it..always had a cover on it even when it was in covered parking haha then he had a camera on it at all times. MY wife hates it on the other hand...she says it looks like a roach haha but she said once it gets some paint and new tint it should look better and i agree that it would. so far it has:
Bonez intake
RB exhaust
Jacobs fc1000
jacobs coils
it has a short shifter not sure what brand, it was purchased from rx7.com(well at their store)
RP springs
tokico struts
susp. techniques adj. sway bars
cusco front strut bar
bonez stage 1 brake upgrade
and some other various stuff i can't think of...the one thing i love about it compared to my other two cars is when i punch it no matter what rpms that thing will pull hard. We are both autoXers but what do you think it would do in the 1/4 low 15's?

Nice ride,I got my 7 from an old friend who also passed away.He had it sitting in his underground garage for close to 10 years.I ran a bar & he lived across the street,so it never got used.He would spend everyday at the bar drinking his life away(his choice) but we sure had many, many great laughs together, talking about cars ,bikes, women and solving the world's problems. He knew how much I loved that car & I guess he knew more than us,'cause he gave it to me & passed shortly afterwards. I have done so much to it since aquiring it & she's my pride & joy.I reget him not being able to see it 'cause I know it sure would have made him happy to go for a "boot" in it. I put a small plaque in memory of him on my dash,so I know he rides with me everytime I fire it up.....Enjoy your car.they're the most fun you can have...

sorry for the late reply i got a new dog who has been keeping us busy, the rims are made by motegi they weigh like 10 lbs each they are called "track lites" i believe or trak lite maybe but, it was really hard to find a decent pair of rims without having something custom made.
F1ernie, i'm sorry to hear that happened, i want to do something like that ( the plaque) for my uncle as well...i think i am going to paint it the way he wanted to. That really is a touching story i am happy that it went to someone who could appreciate it like you do.
