anyone know how a turbo muffler would sound on a 84 that only has the catalyst and a straight pipe all the way back?

Or would it sound better with a glass pack...?



probably going to burn out either way



Its for my christmas...if I got the glass pack I could also get a header system with whats left over

No glass packs.. they will blow apart.. Get the turbo muffler.

ok...glass pack out of the question then...how about a huge tip to replace the old muffler?

I'm sure it would cost less...but how would it sound compared to the turbo?



and how does the turbo sound anyway?



I would like a little more low end tone

turbos sound pretty good and it should last a couple years too

I bought a nice style muffler for my car w/the removable tip. Plenty of company's make em' and in tons of diffrent styles. When driving on the street you can leave the silencer / reducer / tip (whatever u want to call it) leave it in and the car has a nice deep throaty but quiet tone to it. Take the tip out when you go to the track or whenever you feel necessary and you feel the diffrence in power and noise for sure.
