what are some symptons that it might be slipping?

if the car is up in the air, how much resistence should there be when tuning one side and holding the other?

I know when i checked mine...I did a burnout with half the car in teh grass. If they both spin...looks good. It takes a strong lsd to burnout on grass and pavement.

Do a burnout. If only one wheel slips, its stuffed.

The best thing is to go into a diff shop and ask them to check it for you.

burn out sounds good to me. il also get to try the new clutch.lol

i also think that when i had it up in the lift once, if u held one side and spun the other there was hardly any resistance.

if you lift up one side, it should be hard and then once you get it moving it gets easier but there should still be some resistance

if i had gone on wednesday i would have let u.

i think, something is wrong with the clutch or it sucks to begin with, or hopefully, i should have adjusted the pedal after installing a new master cylinder/ppressure plate, cause i think it be slipping once in a while.

the car we last bought had an open diff and it would do equal length burnouts all day long, the IRS makes it still possible, you don't have the efficient transmission of the drivetrain torque to the wheels like a solid rear end would.

the grass vs concrete test should be pretty good though, if you can get the wheel on the concrete spinning in that situation you do have LSD and it is working. Otherwise, just jack the car up and try turn one wheel, if the other one turns the same direction (in neutral) you likely have LSD, wether it is good or not is a different story.
