I was wondering does, anyone know if the Lower Intake Manifolds from an '86 and '85 GSL-SE are the same, on the side that bolts to the engine, I know that they are different from uim to lim....

yes, all of the 84-91 lower intakes will bolt up, the only difference is/are the air injection ports (they move from the center to the ends). i have an 88 block and 84 intakes on my gsl-se, and it works fine, except the air injection doesnt work

I was wanting to put a gsl-se engine in a 79 but it has the 86 fuel injection setup and I didn't want to have to change everything again

Real fun.Wiring is a pain but when you have it done and it fires that first time your headaches will be worth it.I know all about conversions from previous cars.

 

well right now it has an '86 engine in it it's almost done, just waiting on rc to get the injectors back to me, but i'm planning on pulling this engine in march and dropping in a new ported engine basically a turbo II engine with gsl-se rotors if all goes well, it will then be alot of fun
