Video: IT LIVES!!!

ThE "brap brap brap" idle became much more pronounced after it warmed up. Funny thing is it doesn't sound any louder at idle than my old SP S4 motor. Don't know what I was expecting... I bet it'll be a lot louder at WOT.

Today, I'm a happy man!

Downpipe doesn't fit correctly, leaks... It was built for a TII style HKS manifold, and is being used on an FD style HKS manifold. Will get it trimmed to fit here shortly.

There we go... fixed.

I am a little confused on what you are saying about the leak. Are you talking about leaks where the DP connects to the WG?

No the wastegate isn't on at all, you can actually see it sitting on top of the car in the video.

The downpipe was built for this car with an HKS FC style T04 manifold which locates the turbo forward and away from the motor. The HKS FD style manifold I have now locates the turbo further aft and closer to the motor.

So the downpipe is too long (sits against the firewall) and I can't get the v-band on it until I modify the pipe. So for the time being, it just leaks.

It flooded before I started it. Once I cleared it out and warmed up a bit, the "brap brap brap" idle set in. It sounds really good now.
