Just Took Off Emissions

A few comments:
1 -I don't think Paul Yaw does carbs anymore. Check the evil forum for Sterling carbs.
2 - non-emission rotary exhaust tends to be pretty pungent smelling due to incomplete combustion at the ends of the chamber. Not much you can do here (unless you want to install a couple extra spark plugs...)
3 - idle mixture adjustment is on the engine side of the carb and has a little anti-tamper hat over it.

ehm...I found this thing...on the back passenger side of the carb...little flipper doohiky that sorta scoops up with 2 arms...has a big spring with a plastic thing around the spring....then theres this bolt with a...uhm...barrel shaped thing...with 2 pegs on it...very hard to describe...it connects into the armature doohicky that the choke connects into
anyway...it seems to have dropped my idle to a solid 300rpm or so
from its fluctuating 800-1200 that I used to get
i've got a sound clip of the exhaust i'm going to try and upload...coulda swore i saw a section for that before

PS- contact either Sterling or myself if your in need of a modified performance carb.

I've tested her out quit a bit since I hooked that thing back up...I'm guessing when they put in the new engine and carb they just...never hooked it up...but omg...its used to bog some...wasn't a lot...but it was rather noticible when you really got on it...now its just puuuure rotary power
The sound clip is up in the downloads section now...took a while tho
ehm...the sterling carb...I know that its reworked and all that...but could I get one modified to give me better gas mileage...right now I'm running...ehm...19mpg I think
I'd like a tad better...like 25...but I'm not sure if thats possible
Another option you can do to help with the oh so pleasant exhuast odor...which will get you really high...and i'm assuming dead if you got enough of it...would be the MSD ignition mod...i'm seriously considering doing it to mine...slap on the MSD ignition box and 3 coil of your choice...I think the two stock coils run around 30,000 volts together and if you slap 3 msd blaster 2's on there you'd be running around 135,000 volts
I may be terribly wrong...but more spark...means more gas burned...means less putrid exhaust...and probably more power...if not increased efficiency as well
