I have a 84 13b and was wondering if the after market plug wires really helped with performence, also if I put a new ignition coil would that help performence if so how, and what are some good brand names for ignition upgrades .



Any other info on ignition upgrades would be helpful

 

Check my sig for what ive done. Ive heard good things about Racing Beat wires, Accel wires, Jacobs wires, and MSD wires. Ive also heard good things about MSD and Accel ignition coils. Theres a few names and what not for you.

RotorMotor's setup is in my opinion the best setup for the 1st gens. i run this setup and it works great and was easy to install. if you want to give it a try here is how to install it



my advice if your gonna do this type of setup would be to get a good used or new distributor just in case you ever decide to switch back to a factory setup
