I Think I've Blown My Motor.

Yeah, when I bought my first rx7 I knew nothing about rotary's either...funny that.... anyway, its obviously your choice what you decide to do from now, asking our opinion will only get you bias as we are true rotary fans. Rotarys supply a lot of pain, even for experienced rotary guru's, but they also supply a shitload of fun and if you are willing to learn, will give you a vast knowledge of an engine that many a skilled 4, 6 or 8 cyl mechanic won't even touch, but more importantly, it will give you the added satisfaction of knowing that every inch of power and fun your getting is from your own workmanship. (unless your a cheque-book racer).
Heed phins advice, and if you decide to let go, learn from your mistakes.
Your not the first to give up (hereonout comes to mind) and I'm sure you won't be the last, just think about what you really wanted out of it from the beginning and whether those goals are still achievable.
my 2c (from someone with a 84 shell, an unregistered 81 with a blown motor and a T2 halfcut.)

I'm located in Terre Haute, IN. I lied, i'm not giving up, this is only the begining, i've now realized this blown motor is the best thing that could happen to me. I'm rebuilding this motor more than likely myself and street porting it. I may try to get ahold of s5 rotors. I wish i had a job.
