just swapped in an 86 6-port and now I can't drive it. My headlights work, but none of my dash lights do. Fuses check out fine except for one and it keeps blowing everytime I turn on my lights. My headlights stay up too they dont' come back down. I need help here, and I need it quick.

You need to trace your wiring. You've obviously got a direct short on your light harness if you've got a fuse blowing.

Wiring diagrams can be got from www.iluvmyrx7.com

I've looked everywhwere, I ripped it apart last night, and found nothing. could it be something else, because I put a stereo in too. Could it have been something to do with that... but I had one in before and used the same wiries..

Try unplugging and repluging your ECU(behind drivers seat under compartment) If that doesnt work You might also try a used one in its place. The ECU controls almost all dash functions.

Also(this sux) try pulling the stereo. If thats when the problem started then something went wrong with the install(cut a wire or something).

Theres 3 main wires with your stereo headunit right? Yellow - constant power (ie hook straight up to battery) Red - accessories (ie hook up to acc on fuse panel) and Black - Ground (ie Most important wire, hooked up to car body)

These are the only wires on your headunit that could interfere with your other wiring. Did you put an amp in as well? That adds another constant, antenna (blue wire to turn amp on) and ground to look at.
