Just my 2 cents but I would try spraying the crap out of the ignition switch with WD-40. Not sure if you got a new one but my '79 used to do this with all connections tight. Thought it was the starter but no avial. Took the switch off the column a sprayed it with WD-40, guess the position contacts were dirty.

Hey Everybody since we are on this subject.

Where on the Starter Solenoid does the Fusible Link wire got to???

Looking from the rear of the starter. (Right Pole or Left Pole)

84-GSL 12A

Thanks
I don't have one on mine from the factory.Mine the wiring is the positive sits next to the body and the negative sits next to the tranny and the remote sit at the top of the solenoid.
