Gsl-se rear in a series 1
#1
How hard is it to put a complete gsl-se rear (rotors and calipers) on my 1980 gs???? Maybe someone who has performed this task can tell me if it took a long time and what problems they encountered and what additional parts they had to buy..... Also, if the difference was noticeable....
P.S.- I am NOT doing the upgrade, I'm getting someone who has done it a couple of times b4 to do it for me. I luv my car too much to do that to it. :tounge:

You'll have to change the brake router, the driveline will have to be changed, and I believe shortened. it's possible, but a whole lot of work.
I just got the rear end out of an 84 gsl it works alot better than the one that was in my 82. all I had to do was swap the driveline.

Do the 1980 cars have the funny thread pitch on the brake lines? If so you will need special lines from www.mazdatrix.com or recut and reflare the ones to fit the -SE parts.
