I don't have an answer for you, but a follow-up question to whoever reads this....

Is it possible to vmount it like, at the bottom of the engine bay? You know there's that huge gap between the radiator and the engine...would that work?

Theres two 90 degree bends of steel with two predrilled and threaded sections on the in between the rad shrouding. They are two upside down "L"'s that the mounts bolt too.IF you need a pic let me know.IF being the key.I am on a tight shift right now so I can get it for you but when is the question. You should see it fairly easily after your move that rad out of the way tho.

Sorry about the pic.I was in a hurry for work.Just look at where the welding rod is pointing to.Theres two of those mounts one on each side and it bolts on top of those mounts.

Thanks for the pic. The passenger side has a "L" bracket but the driver side has a backward "C" shaped bracket. At any rate only one of the holes lines up. It's possible this isn't the original oil cooler (I found it in the back of the car)but it' soooo close (maybe from different year). I also only have 1 hose for it I'll need the front engine hose. Any ideas

Thanks, Brian

The SE cooler bolts to the chassis and the 79-82 cooler bolts to the rad. What year is the car?
