I just did body work and molding to get it to look the way i wanted and then painted it with the same paint that is on the outside of the car The molding and body work was a complete pain but it turned out ok.

There are a lot of small little things to overcome. I went with the FD which was a little bit of a mistake to start.

I needed to get a 2nd gen CAS and a few other small things. Also the cosmo was a little bit of an older engine so many of the things were more like the 2nd gen.(if that makes sense at all) Also the ports are way larger on the cosmo.

The upside of a FD though is that the UIM looks way cooler IMO.

What tranny are you intending on running? I am using a S5 modified to fit the FB body. I am not sure if there has been a write up on this already but it is fairly easy. Much easier when you look at the tranny.

I also have a FD stock flywheel. I am a little afraid that this will not be the right size though. We will see when I mount up the TII starter. If at that point it does not fit then I will have to pull the engine and throw a 2nd gen flywheel on there. Does anyone know this off hand?

I am not sure if the Cosmo is a push or pull clutch but the 3rd gen is a pain and since I decided to go with a 2nd gen tranny I had to pick up a 2nd gen clutch and PP. The 2nd gen Clutch and PP match up fine to the 3rd gen flywheel.

Regardless that car looks supurb and you can tall that there was a ton of man hours placed into this project. And speaking from a person that has been working on his car for 6 months I can fully appreciate the amount of time and work a project like this takes to complete.

Currently I am running 7.5 on the low setting on the profec B. I have never went above 7.5 on purpose. It does creep up there on a 3rd gear pull. I have ported the wastegate quite a bit, but it still creeps. As soon as I wrap up the fmic intercooler I will probably bump the low up to 10 psi. I am running this car pretty conservative on the boost, in fact my low setting on the profec B is 0% which equals about 7-8. We are having a local club dyno at the end of the month, so I will get to check my afr and go from there.

You said you blew your motor, what happened.

Thanks

Here is my turbo FB, its currently getting painted from the faded and peeling red to a nice metalic black! It put down 247hp/232ftlbs @ 8psi. I could do more with a boost controller or bigger turbo but I want this much quick spoolin power for autocross.

Mods:

S5 upper and lower intake (lower intake took some custom working)

S4 turbo manifold and turbo with ported wastegate

Custom adapter for turbo to block

S5 coils and dizzy

FMIC 24x12x3

Custom charging pipes

Tial Blowoff valve

Aftermarket FPR

Warblo 255lph FP

Stock 680cc (Primaries) and 1600cc (Secondaries) in addition a S5 fuel rail was used because the stock SE only has 2 injectors, so the s5 fuel rail added two more for the secondaries.

ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plate and Street Disc Clutch

Racing Beat Aluminum Flywheel

Custom 3" down pipe

Magnaflow High flow Cat

Haltech E6X

Defi Boost gauge

Defi EGT gauge

Momo Steering wheel

Kwoya Racing wheels (not on in that pic)

Some other things i can't remember right off hand...
