does anyone know if u can use a sa manuel steering rack on fb or se to right? especially if the power steering is not going to be in use. same length, size, ignition switch position and all the column stuff works? anyone have any have input if it works or what might get into. I know 84-85 are the same and some 81-84 change within the vin number not on how or why.

 

79-82 is the same, 82-85 is the same.

 

so what problems can i run into if use a 80 into lets say a 84 se with no power steering?

 

edit:nm so i guess u meant to say its interchangable all years.

 

it should work. they just updated the box, they didnt change any mountings

The black tubes that slide over the shafts are different. You'll have to swap that over *if* if it will fit the same because the key cylinders don't install the same from that year to year difference.
