3. coolant leaks: most important, is the heater hose under the oil filter. everything else is just like any other car
That's more of a problem on cars with beehive coolers.

you just pull em off and clean it with carb/throttle body/brake cleaner

Anything I need to be careful of in there? I know the Miata TB has plastic that the cleaner will eat away.

Seafoam works great man. Just add it to the gas tank though, not the oil. I usually run a very strong mix, like 1 can to 1/8 tank of gas. Frees those apex seals up like nothing else...

nope, although theres no bushing on the throttle shafts, so sometimes it doesnt work right after cause the holes are all worn out

possibly so but it was definitely an issue on mine as well.
