I have a 1980 RX7 with 70K actual miles that has generated a coolant leak at the right (passenger) rear of engine. Coolant spills onto exhaust manifold. Appears to be coming from the rear engine cover & that only way to access is to pull the engine. No coolant in oil, nor indications of coolant entering combustion chamber. Looking for diagnosis suggestions.

Thanks

most likely its the intake manifold o rings. there is a passage to heat the intake via coolant, that is sealed with 2 orings. after 30 years orings leak and since its between the intake and the engine, it'll collect between the engine and intake, or leak out the back.

fix is new intake gasket and 2 orings, easy fix

To replace those O rings, must the carburetor be removed from the intake manifold, or can both be removed together?
