This place sells a video telling you step by step what to do, if you want to rebuild it yourself.

Or find a local shop that knows their **** when it comes to rotary engines, and have them do a compression test.

Rebuilding rotaries is not hard for the home mechanic. My first engine was not hard, not the fastest, also used parts that were out of spec. I had never rebuilt anything before that. 12a's are pretty easy since you don't have as complicated stuff. If you have over 100,000miles, I'd say its getting ready for a overhaul. But some expensive parts may need replacing. Rotor housings, etc. Look at Mazdatrix.
