I am new also to rx-7 , would you happen to know if i just can put in a universal catyl in it that is used for piston engines instead of a rx-7 or are they all the catylictic convertors work in cars all the same?

Piston engine cat's will work fine with a rotary engine app. the differance between a rotary's exaust is that it is about 1800 F at full throttle compared to a piston engines 1200 f.....
