Do Apex Seals Move A Little In The Housing?

I stuck my finger through the exhaust and felt my apex seals. they shift just a little is this normal

And also, does anyone Know how i can tell which way my port valves are pointed???

Your apex seals have springs behind them ,they are supposed to move.

Thats a relief.

I really need to break one of these engines open and see whats going on in there. Ive never seen the inside of one upclose.
