Brand new alternator belt snapped
Ok, so it's been a while since i posted.
Old belt snapped whil driving, and i replaced it. It was visibly old, and I was an idiot for not doing so sooner. Took off A/C belt when i put on new one. Doesn't work, so i figured i didnt need it. After about 1k mi. , new one snapped. The belt litterally smoked, as there were hot rubber embers caked onto the alternator.
My question is: was the belt simply too tight, or did me deleting the AC belt throw something off.
Thanks in advance for the help.
