Well, the kit itself won't include an FMIC for those of you who are looking for a more cost effective route and only plan on running low PSI or for track use...

however, we already have FMIC kits for FBs because our fabricator is in AU and they have the turbo12a motor there already...so that won't be a problem. I'll get a price on everything and we'll probably offer stages later on...give me a few weeks to get pricing setup and stages made and I'll get them up on our site...

as for upgrades, those of you who know...a TO4B turbo is capable of more then 6psi...and you can always up the boost for more power...the turbo's themselves share the same manifold as many other TO4 series turbos..so the kits would be upgradable easily....

The type of carb our fab used I'm not sure of as we haven't discussed the setup recently due to delays in our other turbo kits which are higher priority right now.

I'll catch back up to everybody with this kit within the next week, we've got a lot of kits to push out within the next few days, and once that gets settled, I'll get prices, parts#, etc on the FB kits...

u know, just thought that if you guys are only gonna run around 6 PSI, you might not need an intercooler at all. that would lower teh price of the kit even more. Ive seen a few engines set up with out intercoolers, and they seem to run pretty well. Again, since im a bug guy, most of the old beetle turbo set ups(old as in air cooled beetles, not older turbo kits) omit the intercooler.

We have a intercooler kits for the FBs. To keep the price down on the turbo kit it self. The intercooler will more than likely be sold by it self. Running around 6psi there shouldnt be a real need for a intercooler. We still want feed back from you to decid what to include in the kit.

Yea, like Rx7cms said...the FMIC is gonna be sold separate and as there are guys out there who still like to fab there own stuff and would need just an FMIC....

How much power could you make with a turboed stock 12a at 5-6psi? Probably not much more than the stock 12at and I would imagine the set-up would be around $1200-$1500? I am just a bit skeptical about the value of the low budget low boost carb set-ups.

I will agree that our basic bolt on kit probably will not produce much more then a stock 12AT, but here are some things to consider:

*The kit is a bolt on, no need to pull your motor and swap and deal with all that

*An average do-it-yourselfer will be able to bolt on our kit

*12ATs are very low in numbers and aren't readily available to swap

*Our kits are upgradeable

*The turbos are quality garrett made and will be brand new, not an older jspec unreliable part

Trust me on the Jspec parts, even when dealing with Jspec FC and FD motor parts such as engines, turbos, etc, you can never fully rely on them to work out right. Our kits would have a warranty against cracking of the manifold, turbo failure and line corrosion.

It really is up to the buyer how they want to go about it, you want to do the motor swap..thats cool, if not, we've got what you want. Chances are once we finish the pricing, the kits starting price won't be much over 2K...
