it's all the same across the board. i know guys who have 9:1 pistons in boosted civics, and they run perfectly fine. but N/A for a civic compression wise is like 10:1 or even 11:1 from I have seen.



i think you don't want the compression to be so low, but not so high. 8.5:1 sounds like a doable number.



and I will be doing the swap now. i officially have a hookup for garret, turbonetics, obx, and hks turbo kits. i get them at invoice price. SWEET!!

the 12a turbo used the same trans as the gsl-se, so it depends on your right foot, anywhere from 40k to 250k miles...

I'v ran the '81 stock trans in my car for years 13BT swap

over almost 300ftlb of torque. And no problems.

Its how you drive your car.

I am formally tubofb on the club forums and we currenly have a '79 in the shop for that swap. However we are running a Mivrotech and a small FMIC
