I just bought a 1981 RX-7 GSL with 44/m miles and in really good shape. Has the AC button on the dash but nothing related to AC in the engine bay except a extra pulley on the engine with no belt. I sounds like cars with no ac but pulleys and a dash button for AC were imported but the AC was never added. Am I reading this right? We are in the south and AC would be great. I have been told finding a donor car would be the best way so all the parts and configuration is there. Any recommendations?

what you're thinking can be done. in the event that you do not find one car to donate all the parts at once, then i don't know how much time it would take to track down all the bits you will need.

personally, i would just enjoy the car as is. as long as he windows work; also, you have a sunroof. the only thing that can spoil the fun is rain.

 

thanks for the feed back. I have some feelers out but it may be a long time before a donor shows up. You are right however, I am really enjoying driving it as is. Lots of memories as I had a RX-2 in college. Missed that little rotary.
