Mine I would have to hold the gas at 1500 for a minute or two and let the motor warm up a bit before I let off the gas.Mine didn't idle well when it was cold and it was boggish in th lower rpm range.Thats what you get with a huge 2 barrel.

it does it when the car is warm, not when it is cold, it does it when the "air" is cold i think it is a fuel presure thing to be shure so tomarow i am redoing the hole fule line thing and droping the gas tank and cleaning it...

How long have you had it? It might be time for a rebuilt. I had experince with a Dellorto in cold weather and never had a problem as long as the car was fully warmed up.

are any of u guys running ok in the cold run a tad rich in warmer climate? maybe his carb needs to be adjusted for the change n air density.

well after dumping out 1/2 galon of frozen water out of the gas tank, it still spudderd, so i played with the carb.. after about 6 tries i got it to only do it over 5500 rpms, and is hardy felt.. the carb prolly does need a rebuild but i don't know where to get the gaskets.. if you do help me out. running 4-6 psi in the fuel presure so i think it is good on fuel presure, i do think the cold has some part in it though, maybe i need to just go through everything, overhaul the carb, new pluggs, and clean all the points in the dizzy, and go from there, but yes input is verry apritiated....

Are you talking it sputters as soon as you hit the gas at 5500rpm or does it accelerate then when you hit 5500 rpm it sputters?

My REPU sputters or hesitates for an instant as soon as I hit the gas but then it recovers and accelerates smoothely. If you figure out what it is let us know.
