Swap your front cover and oil pan with pickup tube. It'll fit real easy-like.

Don't you also need the FB dipstick as well?

I did a little trimming on my 13b-re dipstick to make it fit. It was like 1/4" if I remember right.

ok, so if i did a 13b-rew it'd be the same situation right? the thing is i'm looking for a cost effective way to make around 300 whp on low boost so i don't tear the engine up too much for reliability's sake. i have a few options on hand (the one i've mentioned) so i'd like to know what you guys would suggest

I'd simply use the dipstick that is the correct one for the intermediate housing in the engine. The F mark is like right at where the pan touches the bottom of the engine I think. That's what I'd go by. You'll need to swap pans anyway. Take a look when it's off.
