I pulled that Hot start out but mine before never made any noises.Worked good but I like the look of not having it there.

Well...this is the third day I've spent numerous hours on my car that I bought for 250 bucks...guess what I traced the fuel pump wiring all the way to the fuse box... and it appears the jackass that had it before me wanted to throw a stereo system in it so they used the fuel pump fuse as a remote. Well the fuse fell out one day and it just died for him on the freeway. "I broke down and it just wouldn't start"... So I go through all of the trouble of checking everything and replaced a buttload of junk from my 83 to the 85.. Today, I marvel in my own victory. The beast lives and is running like a champ. I had to adjust some crap to make it run good...but now it humms like a bee (almost literally). Thanks everyone for your help.

Finally a car that doesn't have to use 1.70 a gallon 93 octane.
