83 Stereo Question

they had a joy stick balancer, in 84-85 it goes in the center console, where does it go in 83, i cant remember, and there arent any obvious holes in my car (i dunno if it had it)

My 83 never had the stock sterio in it except for the clarion amp under the driver side storage compartment
