I have them wired open right now.Can I or should I just pull the sleeves out of the manifold.Does it matter seeing as they're open right now anyways.I think it would look better without them there and the airpots removed.Any help is appreciated.

I'd leave them and get the inserts. I liked my GXL better with the sleeves in than out, the port looks like its not too smooth with the sleeves out. Like a brick wall at the end.
But I did still have EFI, with a carb I don't know how it would act.

BTW Felix I love that first gen. :yum: I can't wait till my mazdatrix airdam shows up.Then I need the skirts to go with it.
