12a Question

First off, this is a great resource. I have been reading and searching a bit to better understand my car. I've had my RX7 since January '02 (when my Integra gsr was stolen and stripped). The person who had it before me had it street ported and had a diff carb, but it was removed before I got it. It has not been tuned since the carb was changed, will that neg affect fuel consumption/mileage/engine wear?
Also, I've thought of switching back to an after market carb, any suggestions?
PS I had had a great time driving it, it's a blast. But I would like to smoke by friends late 70s 911, if possible (HEHEHE)

Ahhh welcome to the dark side heheheh. First off if your Rx really is street ported than a stock carb wouldn't be a good idea your gonna want something bigger that flows more cfm. You probably want a webber or a holley and if you are still using the stock fuel pump your not going to get the full potential of your street port if you really do have it. For your sake Ihope you do. Your m.p.g. is gonna go down rotaries a verry hungry for gas, gulp gulp. figure out your mods and I'll try to point you in the right direction
