Apparently the 12A has an O2 sensor, either that or someone is making one for no apparent reason to me.

Thats just one of the numerous sites I have found with advertisements for 79-85 O2 sensors.





My question is where and why did they put one on a carbed car? Also what is the voltage reading on it, I would like to hook an AF gauge up to it to help on tuning if its just a standard O2 sensor. Any help would be appreciated!

79-85 12a's dont have em, the gsl-se does

Ok so why are they selling O2 sensors for 79-85 12A motors on 20 or more websites?

didnt the 12a six port and 12a turbo have O2 sensors?

the turbo yah I could see that model having one but Im not sure on the 6 port. Im half tempted to torch a hole in my exhaust and weld a bung in it and just put a O2 sensor in it that way. I was just curious to see if there was one on my car I could use, I know the 12A has an ecu but it doesnt have anything to do with fuel mixture other than warmup enrichment I believe so I couldnt figure out why they would offer an O2 sensor for a carbed car

the 86-89b trucks and the 83-85 626's have a carb with a mixture solenoid, that is run by the o2 sensor, so mazda did it, just not on the rx7.
