Is it possible to and of any benefit (cooler oil temps) to change to an early model air to oil cooler from the water to oil cooler on my 85 12A? I have street ported and put a Holley 4 and intake (RACING BEAT) on and want to keep oil temps lower, is this going to help ? Any and all help is needed, thanks.

You can change to early 80s style ..Air cooled oil coolers...Just change that Housing...

Alof of Racers go with that style set up..

Im not sure if its any better..

I was even thinking how about adding in that oil pan baffle to slow down the slushing of your oil..this is suppose to help it from foaming..

Maybe it will help a little for cooling..Im not sure..

Racing Beat sella some cool oil cooler lines for converting to oil/air oil cooler. be careful not to over-tighten any of the fittings. almost everything's alum. and it's easy to bust something.

I did the same mod to my '83 and I love it.

Also you'll have to use a '79-'82 radiator with that '79-'82 oil cooler to make everything fit right.
