I just diagnosed my 84 GS 12A with having a bad leading ignitor. My question is can I swith the ignitors so that my leading would work but I would have no trailing ignition until the part came?

If it's stock you have no way out of it!

If modified the Carb and the Exaust System. Then yes you only need the Trail Ignitor so you can exchange them.

What in the blue hell does carb/exhaust being stock or modified have to do with swapping the ignitors over in a distributor?
