More great news!
I was in the process of applying for the Office Supervisor position here at my work. It only pays a little better than what I get now, but looks MUCH better on a resume. I had taken the test back on August 11th, and was notified that I had made the "A" ranking on Sept 2nd. This is generally really really good. Only a few out of a hundred get that (out of A, B, or C). Yesterday I got the letter informing me that
"After considerable thought, the position available has been offered to and accepted by another candidate. Although you were not selected at this time, your name will remain on the eligible list for as long as it is active. Again, thank you for your time and interest in this position and for your participation in the selection process. I wish you continued success in your career endeavors"
