What: Rotary fest!!

When: Saturday June 24th

Where: Treasure Island in/near San Francisco

Why: For all of us to get together and also to help raise money for RX Tuner



Ok, the thread is now officially up. Start checking your calenders/asking for time off. Here is what's going on at Rotary fest:



Ryan Scott will be here to hang out/talk to everyone

Wolf USA will have a both/show off area

Those are the 2 for sure things. Talks are going on with Atkins Rotary, who is VERY interested in coming out. Talks are also on with Rotary Extreme and a local Mazda/Mazdaspeed dealer. There will be tons of food and good music. Plus all of the great cars and other attractions that will be lined up closer to the actual date of the event. So let's start hearing what you guys think and just how many of you are planning on showing up?? I'll start an attendance thread about 2 to 3 weeks prior to Rotary fest for the 100% sure people. But for now let's just start with those who are interested.



100+ cars should be a guarantee for an event like this!! There should be some more shops coming in with us too. I'll be sure to list up names as soon as they are 100% sure.

Yeah, for this place being such a kick *** tech forum there's hardly anyone in the regionals!! I was really hoping to get more people from here. Maybe they are just in hiding right now.

Come on now Phins, Ryan isn't that bad. He's actually a friend of mine. Just like Banzai is a friend of mine and not everyone likes him, but I'll always defend him as well. This event is set up to help out a magazine, and for rotorheads to get together and have some fun.

IC you fancy yourself a patron of lost causes..... that said I wasn't commenting on his character I was merely stating that I am not suprised to see people around here not lining up to meet him and get an autograph... I am also not suprised to see people failing to see the advantage of supporting a commercial enterprise, it would be like mazda asking for donations.



I am "not that bad' and yet I would neither expect nor be suprised if people weren't lining up to shake my hand and kiss my ***, actually I'd be pretty worried if I had that kind of impact on anyone's day.

But you are missing the point here. The meet isn't being held so people can meet Ryan. It just so happens that he is going to be there because we have decided to raise some money to help offset some of the dead-beat advertisers debt.



The meet is first and foremost to get together with anyone and everyone that wants to come out. Having people like Ryan, Chris Green from Wolf USA, and the whole crew from Atkins there is to help bring more people out. I can see what you mean about people not being real fond of the Evil Forum over here and that's cool. But I hope you can see that I'm just trying to organize a great event that will continue to grow year after year.



So sign up people and come out to a great event. We already have people from 6 different states that are 100% coming including 2 people that are flying out from Florida!!!! This is going to be a really good time for everyone.
