I was planing on taking my newly purchased 86 rx7 with an auto https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif to LACR in the next coming month to try her out I was wondering if anyone has been there lately or go there often... just throwing it out there so if there is any interest we could make a Friday night mini run.... just something to thing about... I would rather line up to a rx7 and lose than a damn Pee-Tec BTW anyone got an estmate ET on my 86 na at with ebay filter?

Damn, I have not been to LACR in a while.. Last time I went was to try out my friends corolla which had just got a JDM Trueno engine swap.. 160-170HP.. Not bad.. But it ran real weak.. Now we got it tuned so maybe he can put down a 16 or high 15.. Anyway keep us posted.. Maybe we can make it an event..

Hell any reason to drive out to the track and get to go way over the speed limit ( legally). I figured we could make the honda boys run and hide with a few 7's!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

I've been there a couple of times....

The track is VERY poor, esp after all the domestic burnouts. What I would recommend is to go there early on WEDNESDAY so you can get the most runs. You can actually make a run, get your timeslip, get back in line, and often go again before they switch. I believe that LACR is also a little sloped, as well as the crappy elevation issues. I don't remember what the correction factor was again, but it's somewhere around .96____ (just multiply your time by that)

When I went last time I got a 14.2 which came out to be 13.7 corrected @ 101 or so

I had a dp, cb, intake, hi-flo cat, s-afc.

Oh yeah, coolant/tranny/motor oil leaks are common on the track there, which doesn't exactly help things either https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

I thought they where only open friday nights amd the weekend?!

r0t0r-rooter 03-16-2003 12:59 PM

No, as far as I know and can tell from their website, they are only open to the public on Wed and Fri nites from 5 - 10pm $15 all the runs you can get in. Here's the correction factor:

Altitude Correction

LACR is 2,710 ft. above sea level.

To figure the altitude factor the formula is as follows:

ET: multiply your et (at LACR) by .97

MPH: multiply your mph (at LACR) by 1.03

This will give you the ET & MPH at sea level

rOtOr-rooter, you ran a 13.7@101 with what? any mods?

r0t0r-rooter 03-17-2003 03:27 AM

I had an hks dp, atr hi-flo cat, greddy pe exhaust, blitz intake, and s(tupid)-afc. I had the dawes device man. boost controller and blitz dsbc trying to limit the boost to 10psi. my 13.7 corrected (14.2 uncorrected) time was actually my first run ever. It all went downhill after that, cuz i happen to also blow my engine on that run. By the end of the nite (6-8 runs later)I was down to 15.5 uncorrected, with coolant all over the place and an idle that couldn't make up it's mind https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif

I'm VERY hesitant to race the car hard now..

r0t0r-rooter 03-17-2003 01:39 PM

I dyno'd before I installed the hi-flo cat and got 234.9hp/229.4lb-tq @ 9.0 a/f.

I'll be interested in going dragging again after I get larger injectors, aftermarket i/c, and my pfc tuned. Just to make sure each run is optimal, I've gotten trailing arms, toe links, and larger/wider rims. Hit me up in a couple of months (at the earliest) and I should be ready to rumble https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif
