Damn, I have not been to LACR in a while.. Last time I went was to try out my friends corolla which had just got a JDM Trueno engine swap.. 160-170HP.. Not bad.. But it ran real weak.. Now we got it tuned so maybe he can put down a 16 or high 15.. Anyway keep us posted.. Maybe we can make it an event..

I've been there a couple of times....

The track is VERY poor, esp after all the domestic burnouts. What I would recommend is to go there early on WEDNESDAY so you can get the most runs. You can actually make a run, get your timeslip, get back in line, and often go again before they switch. I believe that LACR is also a little sloped, as well as the crappy elevation issues. I don't remember what the correction factor was again, but it's somewhere around .96____ (just multiply your time by that)



When I went last time I got a 14.2 which came out to be 13.7 corrected @ 101 or so

No, as far as I know and can tell from their website, they are only open to the public on Wed and Fri nites from 5 - 10pm $15 all the runs you can get in. Here's the correction factor:

Altitude Correction

LACR is 2,710 ft. above sea level.

To figure the altitude factor the formula is as follows:

ET: multiply your et (at LACR) by .97

MPH: multiply your mph (at LACR) by 1.03

This will give you the ET & MPH at sea level

I had an hks dp, atr hi-flo cat, greddy pe exhaust, blitz intake, and s(tupid)-afc. I had the dawes device man. boost controller and blitz dsbc trying to limit the boost to 10psi. my 13.7 corrected (14.2 uncorrected) time was actually my first run ever. It all went downhill after that, cuz i happen to also blow my engine on that run. I'm VERY hesitant to race the car hard now..

I dyno'd before I installed the hi-flo cat and got 234.9hp/229.4lb-tq @ 9.0 a/f.



I'll be interested in going dragging again after I get larger injectors, aftermarket i/c, and my pfc tuned. Just to make sure each run is optimal, I've gotten trailing arms, toe links, and larger/wider rims. I will back up the Wed. statement. Its much, much, much better on Wed. Hardly anyone goes and you can get plenty of runs in. I have gone on Fridays where I was only able to get 1 or 2 runs due to so many people. LACR is not a great track, for reasons already stated, but on Wed you can get so many runs it kind of makes up for everything else, plus traffic is much better on Wed. Friday night the freeways suck.

jackdhammer, is that you Josh? Remember I was the fool kicking it with you at the LA Autoshow. I haven't heard from you in awhile. Anyways, yes LACR is a shitty ass track but its all we have. Fontana is cool but they have selected days and their inspection is too thorough. When you roll to LACR, they don't pay much attention to imports as far as inpection. I've gone there many times and I had enjoyable moments. My best time there was a 13.2@107mph, uncorrected. I must add that RooterRooter rolled with me there also. That was when his engine went byeee! My clutch failed also. But Fontana sealed my fate. Once the new engine is in, I'll be back!
