Some advice On 73 RX2 Will be selling soon
Hi all appreciate any interest and advice. I have a 1973 Rx2 Re with 39k on odometer. It has been sitting and not used since 1992. I am going to be putting up for sale real soon and wonder if I should be taking it to a mechanic to get running again first or maybe just sell it as it is. I really do not have bunch of extra cash to put towards a mechanic.
The car is all original interior is great no cracks or interior rips only problem is 2 missing headrests. The paint has some rust spots on top of hood and towards back windows but it has not eaten through the metal and feels solid. Do not see any rusting issues on lower body at all. How hard and how much cash may it take to get a shop to possibly get this started up and running? I assume all fluids need changed and so on. Also what would be a fair price on this car selling as it is not running compared to running? I am in Washington state contact me if interest in buying also. Hey thanks for advice

Re: Some advice On 73 RX2 Will be selling soon
If it's been sitting since '92, it might well take a good bit to get it running. My suggestion to you would be to sell as is.
Where is it? I'd love that car myself, since my very first car was a '73 4-door in that exact color. But I don't want to get into a bidding war with Banzai!
Sorry! I see Washington state. That's a long way from here! Good luck!

Update on on Rx2
The engine was manually cranked, fluids changed and started right up.
This car will be going up for ebay auction on Sunday Evening the 11th.
37k miles, has a little bit of exterior rust on some body dents. No rust through the metal at all, trunk metal looks like new. Tranny works, all electric works. All working lights except high beams. Interior is very nice 2 small holes in 1 seat and rest looks like new, dash is mint. Needs, new battery.... new tires, brake work (fluid not getting to brakes right now). Has original owners manual, tire jack, and original spare unused. The reserve will be very fair on the car. Local buyers can come check it out in person. Thanks for all help
