Hey, that Colorado REPU is my truck, what you posting pics of it without my permission for?

Since then I have lost my wooden hood prop, accidentally tossed it out on a trip to the dump. Now I have to use the crank for the jack.

Here is an idea of something to do in the engine bay. Of course it needs alot of cleaning up still. Since that pic I have repaired and painted the radiator and cleaned up some of the wiring.

Here's a shot from under the hood. It's gone through some changes, but similar to what you see here.

I was originally planning on taking the rx7 this year because it is so much nicer to travel long distances across the hot desert when you have A/C. But I am not so sure any more since I just finished replacing all the front end bushings, ball joints, etc. Also if I take the FD there will be 1000 other cars just like it, last year I think I was the only REPU that color (there was a lighter green one), the only REPU with a Weber side-draft, one of only 2 rotaries (that I saw) with Jeff20B's DLIDFIS set-up, and the only REPU with a wooden hood prop. Right now I am split about 50/50 between which I will take.

Hey Jeff, what is the bungee cord doing in that engine bay pic?

It's gone through lots of changes since that pic was taken. It might have been during the time I was trying out an aftermarket foam aircleaner that lost its upper clip. The bungee cord held it on. Then again, I may have been using the stock cleaner and may not have removed the bungee cord or something.

Actually, the reason why I was trying that aftermarket air cleaner (with bungee cord) can be seen in this pic.

Ahh, now the bungee makes perfect sense!

On another note, I think I have changed my mind about what to take to sevenstock. I was talking with the guy riding up with me and we decided that the idea of having the same car that 1000 other 7stockers had just wasnt going to cut it. Now to figure out what needs to be worked on before the 1000 mile weekend coming up here shortly.
