One of my dad's close friends recently purchased a Repu. He owned one back in his 20's...which he totalled. He got turned onto the rotary after his parents first purchased an RX-3 back in the day. Since that time he's always wanted to score another Repu, but timing was never right. Finally about a month ago he found one out in Cali that he had shipped to NJ. Turned out be in really great condition! A few tiny rust spots, but overall the body is really nice...you can even reach under and polish the frame! haha

Whats even better is for 25 years he was a service manager at Chevrolet. During that time, I guess through dealer connections, he scored tons of Repu parts: door panels, grills, windows, fenders, etc. Which he still has in their original boxes! So hopefully he'll have a fun time making this truck to his liking. Only thing different about the truck is the motor...I believe it has an 85 fuel injected Rx-7 motor...not the original one.

I told him about Rotorfest '04 so hopefully he'll show up. We both live about 10 minutes from the fairgrounds, so maybe we'll cruise in together.

Here are some pics:

Another of his projects:

And the body for it:

that is one NICE repu!!!

I must honestly say tho i hate the body style of those kit car things, the yellow shell there... frickin... if you're gonna do a custom car make it look like an exotic import, not a VW bug that got squashed!!!!

Hell, why not a pantera, those are sweet!!

Forget the cars, I want to know where I can get a fender protector like that!
