my 1975 repu that i had imported to new zealand from cali in 04.
Body.
It has been takin back to bare metal and any rust has been removed and and new skins TIG welded in any dents hammered and filed. I had the hooks on the bed removed and a few seams welded up on the bed, cab i have just had quite a few holes in the engine bay welded up. it has been painted in house of kolour kandy apple red over a spies hecker dirty gold the undercariage has had a worth anti chip coating sprayed on then a 2pack red sprayed.
Chassis.
has been also sprayed in Kandy along with the diff,fuel tank and front suspension componants steering and other little bits and peices have been detailed with just the gold or have been chromed.
Interior.
was in a sad state so started again with a marine grade vinyl RED and White in which i had the door cards bench seat kick panels and dash recovered the hood lining is white and carpet will be a dark red i have yet to fit interior as i have to get the wiring sorted first.
Engine.
when i first brought the truck was a 13b 4port running a auto box ive since started building up a FC(S4) 13bpp with all brand new parts the only second hard parts which i will be using in the build will be through bolts, housing have been mechined by a very good friend of mine he also made the sleeve and another friend and I ported the ports to mazdaspeed port timing.im running rx8 rotors slotted to fit 3mm carbon seals then had the rotating assembly balanced , plates have been filled and are at the painters at this very moment ill be running a 48IDA and a custom alloy intake manifold, gear box is a rebuilt rx5 box with exedy heavy duty clutch and pressure plate with a 10lb flywheel im hoping to make between 250 and 300rwhp and a standard diff untill im used to driving on the left hand side or blows, had a 4core custom alloy radiator and oil cooler made all the alloy in the engine bay is polished.
at this stage all the big things have been done ive just run out of funds so im selling my 12a b2000 so i can finish her off and get it road registed and legal and on some nice 18" rims.
theres probly heaps i have forgot to metion but i will post progress picks.
