How are you making out 75 REPU?You never post here anymore.

75 Repu 09-11-2003 12:58 AM

Not good.. Engine is in the bay but now I need the carb kit.. Been real busy on the weekends these last couple of months.. So things have not changed..n No Sevenstock for the Repu again this Year..

Racer X 09-11-2003 07:27 PM

That sux. When are you getting the carb kit and firing the beast over?We need some pics of it in this thread.

75 Repu 09-12-2003 12:17 AM

Well.. I am gonna be pressed for Money especially since the holidays are comin up.. But Maybe just Maybe I can fire it up as My Christmas Present to myself.. I will get pics before then though.. Hopefully with all the wiring and plumbing getting done..

Racer X 09-12-2003 06:01 PM

Cool.Good luck,

75 Repu 09-14-2003 08:13 PM

I was driving back home this weekend.. and well it was a long drive back from Arizona.. last week my buddies car got broken into and Friday my brothers stereo got stolen.. so.. I have been pondering the idea of selling all the sound sytem stuff I have in my Vert and that should pay for the carb Kit..

Racer X 09-15-2003 08:43 PM

Sweet. Is that all it needs to be running?Still going weber blowthru turbo setup?

75 Repu 09-16-2003 04:52 AM

yeah, that is pretty much it.. I have a radiator.. alt, Dizzy.. and new wiring.. electric Fuel pump is there to..

I have been considering goin fuel injection again, since I don't need to rush to get it running for sevenstock.. but that still seems expensive.. unless I can get the whole harness out of a s5 TII with ecu and everything.. But I heard that it is a pain in the ass getting it to run properly without all the little bullshit sensors connected..

Maybe once I have the blow thru setup I can eventually get the throttle body to replace the carb.. and do fuel injection like that..

75 Repu 09-16-2003 04:54 AM

oh yeah.. I met the friend of the owner from Rotary shack.. he should be able to help me jet the carb and stuff.. He opened up Rotary shack for me, and showed me one of their cars with the blow thru setup.. very nice..

Cool.Blowthru setups are awesome due to not having a junkload of wiring in the bay.

75 Repu 09-25-2003 09:34 AM

Yeha.. the setups looked clean and simple.. Nice and uncluttered.. No intercooler though.. But I guess you could add one if you are gonna up the boost..

75 Repu 09-30-2003 11:53 AM

On a side note.. I took my sister with me to Sevenstock.. she saw the trucks.. now she is all enthusiastic about gettin it goin.. She even want s us to get e place with a garage now just so we can work on it...
