After seeing the nice seats that FD3Boost inquired on whether they were stock I thought I would post this thread to get ideas and maybe some pictures.

With all the bucket seats on popular cars and even some pickups out there does anyone know a mass produced seat that would look good in a REPU?

The reason a common seat would be good is because I have a tendency to redo the seats anyways and so once I have a pattern set I could knock out more anytime. So the easier they are to find the better.

I did the ones in my TII back to stock but I implemented a carbon fiber tweed in the convertible I sold. People really liked them and I sold some covers.

Here is what both of those turned out like.

ok.. not tryin to bust anyones bubbles.. but unless your Repu is a 77 you will most likely get a tight fit in the truck with bucket sets.. unless you can get low cut ones like the ones in the blue truck.. most new sporty buckets are too tall and curve back too much leaving your driving position way forward.. I have Integra buckets in my Repu.. but the are gonna be replaced with the old bench.. I have seen some old style chevys with bench seats but the seats ae cusioned like buckets to hold the driver in place..

The other problem is that if you do use short seats your head rest will be the rear glass.. I may try using the integra seats.. MOMO or SPARCO I think makes a roadster seat which is slimmer.. maybe those would fit better.. well good luck.. maybe you can fit the FD seats just fine.. keep us posted..

I have some tan FD seats that are disassembled because we were getting ready to make patterns with. It crossed my mind for a very brief moment to put them back together and set them in to see how they would look/fit. The shape and style as far as my imagination is concerned makes me think they would not look right.

I may for the hell of it bolt them back up and set them in and snap a few pics and post them.

This should give Dave an idea of what to expect when the truck gets there.

I liked the second ones more myself. When you see them in their environment though it gives a better perspective. The interior had a lot of carbon fiber styling. They would not work in most verts though. This pic was taken before I replaced the AC center vent so it looks pretty lame.
