Hello,

I have a 1976 Rx4 and I am trying to find the ignition switch with key lock. I purchased the car recently and the previous owner had told me they had attempted to steal the car and is missing. I was told a a Rx7 one would do but not sure if any Rx7 model or specific model. I have checked my local Car Junkyards and have not been able to find any Rx7's. I have also checked online and no luck. Can you someone point me in the right direction here?

yeah, I have electrical problems too on my Rx4. the guy who had before me installed a electronic fuel pump and also started to play around with the ignition coils and I hear the engine when I try to start the car but it seems like the fuel pump is not turning on. Because the key switch was ripped of the steering column, thats the reason why I was looking for a key switch which I have found. I need to install this and actually turn the key to see if I can hear the fuel pump turn on and then see if the actual engine turns on.

I knew this was going to be headache getting into this car with the electrical problem but I sleep like a baby at night knowing I got a 76 Rx4 and a 81 Corolla parked in my garage.

I'm selling the 1.8 to dedicate myself to the Mazda, I'm no mechanic but I figure I can experiment on my car rather than anyone else.

when you get it running post more pictures, I known the all looks the same but I never get tired of looking at them

Well mine alll it was a loose hot wire touching the frame, it blew the fuse, now is good.

still got to bleed the brakes and the carb is acting up, slowly but surely!
